Corporate Communication Manager of the VRA/NEDco Mr. Maxwell Kofi Kotoka has assured Ghanaians that they will begin to enjoy the electricity relief promise by President Akufo-Addo from Friday May 1, 2020.

Mr. Kotoka explained that, all is set for the company to ensure that electricity bills for all lifeline customers (persons who consume zero to 50 kilowatts-hours a month) will be fully absorbed by the government. He added that, the non-lifeline customers (Residential and Commercial) will enjoy Fifty Percent (50%) reliefs on their electricity consumption in using their March 2020 consumption as the benchmark.

Speaking in an interview with Akua Nyarko Abronoma, host of Dinpa anopa bosuo on a Sunyani based Dinpa 91.3FM Tuesday April 28, Mr. Kotoka noted that, customers can enjoy the relief package from all third party vendors and they(customers) do not have to go to the NEDco offices to access the package.

The President on Thursday April 9 announced three months of free electricity for Ghanaians to mitigate the impact the outbreak of the virus is having on the public.
