The Chairperson of the Brong Ahafo Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev Dr William Kwabena Ofosu-Addo has charged believers to give their all to the Lord and the heaven’s shall open unto them.


Speaking in a sermon to officially elevate the Nsawkaw sub-district to a full district status in the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. He said, the elevation from sub-district to district status comes with additional responsibilities. Therefore leadership of the district must be prepared to give their all to the Lord and their efforts will never go rewarded.


Addressing the congregants on the theme :“Heaven’s shall be opened to you”, he mentioned that, we have been Created for a purpose and so we must rely on God in the pursuit of our divine purposes. He stressed that the Heavens shall be opened to only those who have forsaken worldliness and are lovingly righteously for the Lord.

He added that the Heavens shall be opened to us when we fulfill the great commission by bringing others to God and living like Christ in our communities .


According to him, God’s purpose is to have a worthy vessel to use to expand His kingdom but He can choose to use anybody at all as an instrument for his purpose. Therefore he called on believers to yield their “members” (total body parts) for God’s service by avoiding sexual immorality and all acts of sin, adding we have the right to all things, but not all things are beneficial.


On his part,, Daasebere Okogyeaman Duodu Ampem II- Omanhene of Nsawkaw commended the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for maintaining discipline wherever they are found and urged the younger ones to emulate.


He cautioned the people of Nsawkaw against doing things the old way and avoiding dedistrict on charms and occultic powers which has deprived them of development, but must all join hands together for the total and radical development of the community.
Daasebere Okogyeaman Duodu Ampen II Pledged his support for the Presbyterian Church-Nsawkaw district.


The program brought together, Past and present ministers of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, preaching posts, congregations, districts and the Presbytery, as well as Traditional Authorities.


In all the eleven (11) congregations in the newly created Nsawkaw District, headed by Rev. Daniel Agyemang who is the District Minister assisted by twenty-three (23) other leaders to steer the affairs of the district.
