I won’t go independent but will appeal-Oduro Takyi


Disqualified parliamentary aspirant of the New Patriotic party(NPP) in the Sunyani West constituency of the Bono region, Hon Bernard Oduro Takyi has vowed to appeal the National Vetting committee’s decision to disqualify him through the internal party structures.

The leader of the team that started the campaign for 5% Assembly common Fund to be given to assembly members  and five other persons were not recommended by the National Vetting Committee chaired by Hon. Rita Asobayere.

But the party has ask individuals who are dissatisfied with the committee’s decision to appeal through the Appeal’s Committee chaired by Hon Peter Mac Manu.

In a release signed by the Hon. Ernest Osei, the campaign Manager of Mr. Oduro Takyi said, being an independent candidate will not be part of his political career therefore he will adhere and strictly follow the rules and regulations governing the conduct of the 2020 parliamentary primaries.

Hon. Bernard Oduro Takyi popularly known as B.O.T is the former Presiding Member of the
Sunyani West Municipal Assembly and former Assembly Member for the Kwatire Electoral Area.

He is also an Entrepreneur and International Speaker who has spoken in over 20 Countries globally.

Bernard Oduro Takyi is also the Regional Coordinator of Commonwealth Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs-West Africa (CAYE-WA) whose duty is to promote Entrepreneurship and
Business among the 5 Commonwealth member state in West Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gambia, Sierra Leon)

He is seeking to unseat the incumbent MP and Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah.
