It was a moment of joy and thanksgiving when government announced the restoration of training allowances for trainee nurses and midwives across the country in October 2017.

The launch took place at the Sunyani Nursing and Midwifery Training College as president of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo stated that the move to bring back these allowances was not only to fulfil its 2016 campaign promise but also improve the conditions of nurses and midwives across the country.
