I will resign if NDC cancels Free SHS-NDC man vows

Deputy Bono Regional Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Eric Adjei, has vowed to resign from the party if they cancel the Free Senior High School policy after winning the 2020 general election.

He stated categorically that, the NDC has not stated it anywhere and has no intention to cancel the NPP gov’t flagship policy.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in December 2019 stated that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will cancel the free SHS policy if they win the 2020 elections.

Speaking on the first day of his three-day tour of the Greater Accra region, the President noted that the opposition party is asking Ghanaians to vote for them in the 2020 election so they can come back into office and cancel the programme.

But in a media interview monitored by Dinpafm.com, Eric Adjei said, “NDC as a party believed in progressively free senior high school that is why the Former President John Dramani Mahama started it”, he opined.

He added that, “NDC believing in infrastructural development will provide more classroom blocks, dormitories, dinning halls , libraries and better conditions of service for teachers to make the implementation of the Free SHS policy very smooth”.

Mr. Adjei also lamented the way corruption has taken root in President Nana Addo and New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

”NPP has made corruption an social intervention policy” , he stressed.
