Mr.Charles Wereko, Chief Director for the Information Services Department (ISD), is embarking on a familiarization tour to get first hand information about the operations of the Institution in four regions namely; Bono East, Bono, Ahafo and the Western north.
Bono region was his second stop over from Bono East.
In a meeting at the office of the Regional Information Officer (RIO), supported by his team of competent District Information Officers (DIOs), Mr. Imoro Tebra Ayibani the regional Boss, disclosed a chunk of challenges bedeviling the Institution in the region.
He said that, ”cinema vans that has been faulty and immobile in ages, computers,cameras,stationary,office equipment,inadequate staff,lack of funds, amongst others are our biggest challenge.”
He thus, appealed to the Chief Director that, Bono regional office of the ISD can work better if these challenges are addressed.

In his reaction, The Chief Director Mr. Charles Wereko, commended the staff for working tirelessly towards promoting government policies despite the numerous challenges facing them.
According to him, a lot of measures are in place to revive the Institution and therefore urged them to keep their fingers crossed.
Mr. Charles Wereko disclosed that, they are coming up with Information Services Transformation Agenda, adding that about three hundred vehicles will be procured to replace the faulty ones, whilst more people will be employed to augment the skeletal staff where their services are needed.

Touching on the Implementation of the Right To Information Law (RTL), the chief Director said operations commence next week.
He said ISD would be going digital soon and therefore charged all to help promote social media platform of the Institution as a means of promoting their activities as well.
He ended by saying the welfare of every staff is their priority and called for corporation from their end.
