National President of the NABCo trainees Association of Ghana (NABTAG), Dennis Opoko Asiedu, has appealed to the trainees to put up desirable behaviors that would prompt their supervisors to recommend them for permanent jobs.
He disclosed that, the association have several reports about nation builders whose supervisors are waiting for their contract to end so that they can say goodbye to them due to the undesirable behaviors.
The Association has petitioned President Akufo-Addo, proposing the consideration of its members for permanent employment.
”Ask yourself that, if the permanent jobs were to be ready today and you are to be recommended, as a NABCo trainee would you be recommended by your supervisor, district or regional coordinator?”
The Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme is a government initiative to address graduate unemployment to solve social problems.
President Akufo-Addo in May 2018, launched the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) to employ young men and women to assist in the public sector service delivery needs of Ghana.
During the launch, the President stated that the initiative was geared towards enhancing “the dignity and self-esteem of our graduates, and will also present them with the added benefit of efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of some essential public services.”
”There are some NABCo trainees that their supervisors are waiting for their contract to end so they can wish them well and say goodbye to them”, he told Akua Nyarko Abronoma, host of Dinpa Anopa Bosuo show on Thursday September 17.
